Doctor of Ministry

"The DMin is serious degree work that puts gospel proclamation and those we serve at its heart. My pastoral imagination was stirred and my preaching fine-tuned in the balance of academic study, small groups, outstanding professors and advisors, ecumenical colleagues, and my own congregation’s participation in my learning."

Kim Beckmann, pastor, ELCA Metropolitan Chicago Synod

LSTC’s Doctor of Ministry (DMin) offers affordable access to diverse, world-class learning environments with a schedule suited for full-time professionals. Our two programs have distinct emphases: the Ecumenical DMin and the Association of Chicago Theological Schools (ACTS) DMin in Preaching.

Doctor of Ministry in Preaching (ACTS DMin in Preaching)

Centered in a three-week summer residency on LSTC’s campus, preachers from across the country and beyond study in the ACTS DMin in Preaching Program. In addition to nationally recognized guest preacher-lecturers, advisors and teaching faculty are drawn from the seminaries of the ACTS consortium. For more information, click the Preaching Link.
