Harry C. Mueller elected treasurer of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago May 29, 2007

At its spring meeting, the board of directors elected Mr. Harry C. Mueller to a one-year term as treasurer of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. His term begins on June 1, 2007. Mr. Mueller succeeds Mr. Richard Hoefs who served as treasurer for over 25 years.

Since 1999, Harry Mueller has served on the Foundation Board of Trustees of LSTC, the group that oversees the seminary's investments. He presently chairs the Investment Committee of that board. From 2003 - 2007 he served on the Steering Committee for LSTC's five-year comprehensive fundraising campaign.

Mueller is President, CEO and part owner of Delta Group Electronics, Inc., an electronics manufacturing services provider based in Albuquerque, N.M., with additional facilities in Florida, Texas, and California. He holds degrees in economics and business administration from Amherst College and the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.

In addition to his service to LSTC, Mueller is an active board member of Lutheran Family and Children's Services Foundation, Banterra Bank (Eldorado, Ill.), Triad Bank, and is a trustee of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Board of Pensions.

Mueller is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, Mo.
