Jessica Nipp Joins LSTC Office for Advancement September 12, 2006

Ms. Jessica S. Nipp will join the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago Office for Advancement beginning October 1, 2006. As a director for advancement, she will have responsibilities as LSTC's major gift officer relating to the La Crosse Area, Northern Illinois, and Northwest Wisconsin Synods. Nipp also will assume team leadership responsibilities related to all aspects of resource development for LSTC's Ph.D. and Youth in Mission programs.

Nipp most recently served as managing director of the ELCA Wittenberg Center in Germany where she oversaw the development of educational seminars and conferences highlighting Reformation heritage, Lutheran identity, and contemporary German culture. She also interpreted the ministry of the Wittenberg Center to guests and sponsors in Germany and state-side through written and personal presentations, and securing gifts and grants from individuals and congregations.

Nipp earned a master of divinity degree with a biblical emphasis from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in 2002, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She graduated summa cum laude from Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, 1998. After graduating from LSTC, Nipp earned a faculty diploma in Protestant Theology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany (July 2004) and was consecrated as an ELCA Diaconal Minister at Wartburg College in January 2005.
