Rossing New Proclamation Commentary Available December 21, 2004

Barbara Rossing, Associate Professor of New Testament at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, is author of a commentary on First Peter and other lectionary texts for the six Sundays of Easter in the New Proclamation: Year A, 2005 available from Fortress Press ($25.00; A public lecture on First Peter is planned for late February at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.

Rossing is the author of several books and numerous articles, including The Rapture Exposed: The Message of Hope in the Book of Revelation, which has received national attention as a response to the popular "Left Behind" series of books. She is a frequent lecturer and teacher throughout the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on a range of topics, from the New Testament to human sexuality, as well as Revelation and the apocalypse. Rossing joined the LSTC faculty in 1994 with degrees from Carleton College, Northfield, Minn.; Yale University Divinity School and Harvard University.
