Faith in the Face of Empire: The Bible through Palestinian Eyes


On April 1, 2014, the Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb visited LSTC. He made a presentation to a standing-room-only crowd on the topic of his latest book, Faith in the Face of Empire, which calls for a reading of Scripture from a Palestinian perspective.

Mitri Raheb is pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Christmas Church in Bethlehem, Palestine. He is also president of the Diyar Consortium and Dar al-Kalima University College. He serves as the president of the Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land and of Bright Stars of Bethlehem.
