Kristallnacht Service of Remembrance

On Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, the “Night of Broken Glass” Remembrance Service was held at 11:00 a.m. in Augustana Chapel at LSTC, 1100 E. 55th Street. Chapel on this day recognized and acknowledged the atrocities of ‘the night of broken glass’, Nov 9, 1938 in Germany. Visitors from the area’s Jewish community lead and joined us for the service.

Jason Churchhill, Todd Wright and members of the Hebrew Class at LSTC lead the service. Rabbi Levin Rosen offered the reflection. Lectors were members of the Hebrew Class. Cantor Rachel Rosen and members of the Hebrew Class were musicians for the service. Leah Kadden shared her personal remembrances from the 1930s and early 1940s.
