About our speakers

Dr. Margot Kässmann is a theologian and leader in the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), which she served as Chairperson, leading Germany’s 24 million Protestants, from 2009–2010. She was the first female bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover from 1999 until 2010. Dr. Kässmann also is an influential leader in the international ecumenical movement.

James Nieman is President, Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.

Dr. Anna Case-Winters is Professor of Theology, McCormick Theological Seminary and co-chair of the International Committee on Lutheran-Reformed Relations.

The Rev. Wayne N. Miller is Bishop of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Vítor Westhelle is Professor of Systematic Theology, LSTC.
