About the speaker

Frank M. Yamada, President of McCormick Theological Seminary, joined the faculty of McCormick Seminary in the summer of 2008 as the Director of the Center for Asian American Ministries and Associate Professor of Hebrew Bible. Before coming to McCormick, he taught Hebrew Bible at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois for nine years, beginning as an Instructor in 1999 and receiving tenure and promotion to Associate Professor in the spring of 2008. He has also taught in the Course of Study at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, in the Association of Chicago Theological Schools' D.Min in Preaching program, and at McCormick Seminary, where he taught cultural interpretation of the Bible as an adjunct in 2005.
