“It’s fun when students in my Introduction to Preaching class ‘get it’ that preaching the Gospel is God’s reconciliation, God’s power, God’s grace."

Craig A. Satterlee

Alex Jacob and Gerda Maria (Swanson) Carlson Professor of Homiletics
Dean, ACTS Doctor of Ministry in Preaching Program

In his own words:

“And in the ACTS D.Min. in Preaching Program, the ecumenical gathering of preachers is exciting. They connect homiletical theory with real practice involving real people in their congregations.

“LSTC is the church of tomorrow happening today. It’s urban, it’s multicultural and has people of faith coming from different traditions. The faculty is eager to work with students but also allow them their independence.

“As a person who is legally blind, I bring to this community a unique perspective on the Gospel and the Church.”
