“Systematic theology courses and ethics courses are most exciting to me. In systematic, we are breaking new ground in Latino/a theology; ethics is so challenging and so relevant. We deal with many contemporary issues facing the church and society.”

Professor of Systematic Theology
In his own words:
“My approach to teaching is to help students understand complex concepts and issues by breaking them down and to challenge students to be teachers, themselves, by using the resources available to them.
“I don’t impose my perspectives or approach on students. I look at the ‘Theology of the Cross’ from many different perspectives. I hope that frees students to do the same.
“I am excited about establishing dialogue with emerging theological voices – voices that have been silent until now."
