Come and be our guest. We want to give you the opportunity to get a sense of LSTC through visiting with faculty and students, telling your story and sharing your questions, getting a sense of this academic environment and community life. We are honored to walk with you on the "holy ground" of discerning your next steps in life.
Seminary Sampler
Seminary Sampler: A Taste of LSTC is a 2 and a half day event offered in the fall and spring. For those who want to meet others who are considering seminary, this is a great opportunity. You will eat meals in students' homes and our LSTC refectory, participate in worship and visit classes, take a neighborhood tour and see LSTC housing, eat lunch and share stimulating conversation with faculty, and more. Individual Visit
An Individual Visit can also be scheduled at the time of your choosing. It's best to visit during the academic year when classes are in session (Monday-Thursday). Adam Berndt, Visit Coordinator, will be your first contact. Email visitcoordinator@lstc.edu to schedule a visit or call 773-256-0726.
Be sure to provide as many details as possible about what you're most interested in doing while you're here. However you contact us, please include your name, mailing address, email, phone number and the best times to reach you.
Depending on availability, we will work to schedule times to visit classes, meet faculty, attend chapel and share a meal with students. Depending on the weather, you may want to take a tour of the beautiful Hyde Park neighborhood or downtown Chicago sights. You will have the opportunity to meet with at least one of the Directors of the Office of Vocation, Admissions and Financial Aid. We hope that in your visit, we can provide a taste of LSTC, both this seminary community and expansive resources.
