Student Testimonials
"I have liked the flexibility of the Graduate Studies
Program because I work full-time. I have taken my own pace and have found
a lot of understanding from LSTC professors, staff and students. I really
appreciate this flexibility because it actually has allowed me to fulfill
my goal of studying in a Ph.D. program."
- Rev. Ruben
Dominguez, U.S.A., Ph.D. candidate, Church History
"The LSTC faculty allows for great freedom when it comes to letting
Ph.D. students pursue their own individual subject of interest. If you
can make a case for the thesis you desire to defend, academic
support is sure to be provided."
- Anette
Ejsing, Denmark, Ph.D. candidate Systematic Theology
"There are numerous points of interests and opportunities in post-graduate
studies at LSTC. As a Presbyterian, I am enjoying deep ecumenical
relationship in a Lutheran school. Interestingly, my enrollment
in the doctorate program may not have been possible without the tuition
scholarship incentive which the school offered to me. Besides, the rich
library makes my research work a lot easier and enjoyable.
Above all, I find fulfillment in the diverse and wide range of
opportunities for course selection in the cluster of ACTS schools
due to it's strategic location. In this way, I am not limited in the pursuit
of my academic goals. Finally, the availability and readiness of the faculty
for academic interaction makes the institution quite distinct.
LSTC, I have observed, is not only multi-national, it is multi-religious
and fully ecumenical. Indeed a school where human dignity is valued
and respected, and where diverse religious orientations are welcomed.
A home for all!"

Nigeria, Ph.D. candidate Theology/Mission
"Scholarship is a lifeline for a student from a third world
country in pursuit of academic scholarship and leadership development.
Each scholarship can have a multiplying effect if the recipient is committed
to return to one's own country and serve in his or her church and society,
as there is a dearth of qualified persons. To share your resources in
the task of developing leaders is a God given opportunity in God's mission.
Responsible use of such funds by the recipients of scholarships also is
a God given opportunity to equip oneself for this mission. We need each
other."
