Master of Arts in Ministry

The MAM is especially created for those who sense a calling to one of the lay ministries of the church including diaconal ministry, associates in ministry and deaconesses in the ELCA or in another denomination or ministry setting. The program requirements are shaped to support the ELCA candidacy requirements for lay rostered leaders providing excellent preparation for ministry and teaching in the areas of Bible, History, Theology, Ethics, Church and Society and the Arts of Ministry and they are flexible to meet the needs of ecumenical students from various traditions.

All MAM students augment their learning through field education experiences that vary depending upon the ministry to which students are called and do a summative evaluation (integrative paper or ministry project) at the end of their program.
