Life @ LSTC : Commuters

Commuters usually want to take as many courses as possible in the three hour block format—traveling to campus on Sunday evening or Monday and staying through Tuesday or Wednesday.

In order to serve commuter students, we have an apartment designated for them. For a modest fee that covers the entire semester, students can stay in the commuter apartment for 1-2 nights each week making it easier to take classes 2-3 days per week. This is a furnished apartment with communal gathering spaces and each student has access to their own room. The Dean of Community is working with commuter students to create additional gathering spaces and times for building community for this section of LSTC's community who often have many outside responsibilities.
