"The World of the Bible:
Ancient Sites and Current Struggles"

Join LSTC students, alumni, friends of the seminary,
on a 17-day pilgrimage to the Holy Land,
led by Professors Esther Menn and Barbara Rossing
Pastors, lay people, students, alumni and friends are welcome. This tour is fast paced and strenuous! Academic credit is available for masters' students who register through LSTC.
Itinerary:

Fly from Chicago to Amman, Jordan on Air France for 3 days in Petra, Moab, and other sites including the probable site of Jesus' baptism.

Cross the border into Israel for four days' touring in Galilee, including Nazareth, Capernaum, Caesarea Philippi, Megiddo, Dan and other biblical sites, staying in Nazareth and also at Kibbutz Nof Ginosaur on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee.

Six nights in Jerusalem, visiting Augusta Victoria Hospital and other ministries; and meeting with contemporary Jewish, Christian, Muslim leaders; visiting biblical sites such as the Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcre, with field trips to Qumran, Masada; Yad Vashem, Israel Holocaust Museum; conclude Sunday with worship at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer before returning home.
Approximate tour price of $3299 includes lodging at church guest houses with private bath (double occupancy; single supplement available), breakfast and dinner daily, transportation and entrance fees, tips for guides; and fees.
