Study ToursWouldn’t it give you a whole new feel for the subject to study the Bible in the lands where the stories were first told, the psalms first sung? To grasp church history through a trip to the castles and churches where the Reformation was born? To understand the breadth of today’s global church by visiting our sisters and brothers overseas and in other parts of America? One form of Lifelong Learning is group travel which may be undertaken for seminary course credit, Continuing Education Units (CEUs), or pure enjoyment. Leaders are seminary professors and/or churchwide staff. International destinations may include one of the ELCA’s Lifelong Learning Centers in Bethlehem, Mexico City, or Wittenberg. Tours that are advertised as courses may have room for “pure enjoyment” participants. It always helps to check.
