Creative Teaching Ministry Grant Christian Education Units

The Creative Teaching Ministry Grant was founded in 2009 by an alumnus and spouse, grateful for their experiences at LSTC. They fund the awards annually.

From their passion for education and creativity, the donors challenge applicants to use a prompt that is different each year to create a four-week arts-integrated Christian education curriculum that may be shared with others.

2012-13

Drew Yoos developed this year's grant award for his program, Lutherrevealed!
This Bible Study for high schoolers will use the letters of the New Testament and selections from Luther’s works to connect Luther’s theology to key parts of the Lutheran worship experience. Youth will go deeper into what different parts of Lutheran worship look like, participate in games and activities that enhance their understanding of theology, and use their own creativity to craft elements of worship within their own context. It is ideally designed for a group of 15-25 youth in 9th-12th grade.
