The Seminary offers students affordable and spacious apartments for both single and married students. Utilities included in the rent are heat, gas, water, recycling and garbage removal. These vintage Chicago brownstone apartments are located across from the Seminary and create a space for community, study, and relaxation. We even allow pets!
Shared Occupancy Apartments
Single students can decide to live alone (see Private or Family Housing) or share an apartment with 1, 2, or 3 roommates. The apartments are arranged as suites and students have their own bedrooms. Common space includes kitchen, living room and bathroom.
Private or Family Housing
Single students or families may rent 1-, 2-, or 3 bedroom apartments. The apartments have a kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, and bedroom(s). The larger 2- and 3-bedroom apartments are first made available to students with children.
Housing rent is due and payable on the first working day of each month.
Note: Students rent unfurnished apartments, and, for an additional charge of $40 per month, may rent a Basic Set of furniture (bed, chest of drawers, desk, and chair). The supply is limited; sets are assigned on the basis of need and date of application.
Housing for ACTS students
After fulfilling the housing needs of all LSTC students, there may be a limited number of apartments left that can be filled by students in the other ACTS seminaries (MTS, CTU, CTS, Meadville, U of C Divinity school)
Students from these seminaries can be put on the waiting list for housing by emailing their request and information to the Facilities Operations Manager, Paul Knutson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests will be dated and categorized by size of apartment requested.
Wait list students will be contacted the first week of July and informed if there is space available or not. ACTS students must show proof of enrollment and must maintain a student status at their respective seminary.
A housing application and credit disclosure paperwork must be filled out and returned and a promissory note must be signed, before final acceptance will be granted.
Check out Guest Housing options from the "Guest Housing" link found within the navigation links on the upper left side of this page.
