2010 Leadership Conference at LSTC

Inch by Inch: Growing
a Green Congregation

As part of LSTC’s Earth Year observances, the leadership conference will focus on the ways in which congregations can promote environmental awareness, participate in local and global events and reflect together on biblical and theological themes related to creation.

Through lectures, workshops and worship, we will learn:

• How to increase awareness of environmental concerns facing our world
• Practical and concrete ways individuals and congregations can care for creation
• How to motivate people to make lifestyle changes and to organize with others for change
• How environmental concerns are connected to other social and ethical issues
• About environmental racism and global environmental justice
• Ways worship can increase awareness of the world around us, help us appreciate the sacredness of creation, and deepen our desire to treat it with dignity and respect
