Luther’s writings on the Jews helped fuel the tension between Jews and Christians during the Holocaust. A powerful exhibit of photos and artifacts from Jewish life in the German city of Wittenberg during the 1930s and 40s hopes to foster communication and healing.
“This deliberate joint reminder of the guilt and shame [in Wittenberg] and the unspeakable suffering [by Jews] can also lead Christians and Jews to the hope of a joint future so that they can stand together and combat racism, political or religious mania, and violence.” --
