PASTOR JULIE TILLBERG,
2002, M.Div.

What drew me to study at LSTC...

"The diversity of the LSTC community, Hyde Park, and Chicago was the deciding piece for me. I had just returned to the U.S., after spending 10 months as a volunteer teacher in South Africa, and I longed for diversity as I journeyed through my reverse culture shock."

What drew you to become involved as a donor...

"Through seeking to grow in stewardship as a congregation and individual, it brought to my awareness the impact I can have after my death to give a faith witness, and to support ministries that are important to me. Providing scholarships to MDiv students was an obvious choice, since I am one of those pastors who graduated with over $30,000 in seminary loans."

What about LSTC do you treasure most...

"The relationships with professors and peers, the experiences I had through cross-cultural courses I took through ACTS, and being in Chicago and in close proximity to the national church office."
