Christopher Family Foundation makes $1 million gift to LSTC.

The Christopher Family Foundation recently made a $1 million leadership gift to Equipping the Saints for Ministry.

Long-time supporters of Christian Education in home and school, Christopher family members have numerous points of contact with LSTC, including current and former pastors, seminary students who are from their congregation or alumni who occupy leadership roles in their congregation, and trusted friends and advisors.

In announcing the Foundation’s decision, Kelley Christopher Schueler said that board members wanted to “give as much as possible from funds that were immediately available,” signaling their affirmation of campaign goals and objectives. Kelley also noted the strong financial support given to the campaign by the seminary’s three volunteer leadership boards and the campaign steering committee.

This generous commitment from the Christopher Family Foundation moved LSTC beyond the $30 million mark in total campaign progress (gifts received and pledges outstanding).

Designed to provide more robust short-term and long-term financing, Equipping the Saints for Ministry is the seminary’s first comprehensive campaign. Its Annual Fund goals require at least a 10% increase per year in support for current operations; the LSTC Fund goals call for a doubling of endowed funds from $20 million to $40 million, and at least $10 million for facilities improvements and renovations.
