A quality work and study environment makes for a better academic experience.

Technology for teaching and learning play an ever-increasing role in the classroom. Students take notes on their laptops rather than their notebooks and instructors need classroom access to up-to-date audio, video, and internet
capabilities.

A handful of LSTC classrooms have already been upgraded to meet these needs—and they are the ones most in-demand.

Improvements to several basic systems of LSTC’s 40-year-old buildings are critical to make it a better place to learn and work: new, energy efficient heating and air conditioning; plumbing; a comprehensive fire safety system that includes a sprinkler; and changes that make the LSTC facility fully ADA compliant.

To do this, LSTC is launching a multi-year, multi-million dollar effort to modernize its main building, which houses all classrooms, offices, and the JKM Library.
