CONGREGATIONS

Dear Friends:

The links in this section of the seminary’s web site are intended to be resources for pastors and lay leaders in congregations.

While the seminary primarily serves congregations by preparing pastors and leaders for ministry, we also hope that these pages offer you and your congregation ideas and resources that are helpful in your ministry.

If you have any questions or suggestions about these or other seminary resources, please do not hesitate to contact me.

With best wishes,
Mark Van Scharrel

PROGRAM & SPEAKERS RESOURCES:

At the center of the seminary is a faculty recognized for its academic excellence coupled with a deep and personal commitment to the church. In addition to their primary teaching ministry of preparing seminarians to serve as pastors and leaders, the seminary’s faculty also responds to many invitations to serve as speakers and program leaders at congregations, conferences, and synod assemblies.

If you are interested in inviting a member of the seminary’s faculty to speak or to lead a program, you may either contact that faculty member directly or contact the seminary’s advancement office at bgibson@lstc.edu or 773-256-0710.

While the seminary does not have a schedule of fees for speakers or program leaders, it is customary to provide both an appropriate honorarium and expenses. The seminary’s student recruitment or advancement staff may also be available to speak or lead programs. To email them, click on the links below:
