Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago invites prospective students to sample seminary life April 5-7, 2003

Sampling seminary life is invaluable for people who are considering service in the church. If you are in the process of discerning a call to ministry, the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC) invites you to be its guest during a three-day seminary immersion. The Seminary Sampler Visit will be Saturday-Monday April 5-7, 2003, on campus, 1100 E. 55th St., Chicago. The visit is free and includes housing and meals.

While on campus, participants will attend classes, interact with students and faculty, worship together and tour the multicultural community in which the seminary resides. Special sessions will address ministry options for first- and second-career students. Information on the seminaryÕs programs, admission and financial assistance will be available.

The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago forms visionary leaders to bear witness to the good news of Jesus Christ. Its approximately 290 students come from all parts of the United States and from around the world to study in the masters level and advanced studies programs. Graduates become pastors, other church leaders, and university and seminary professors. LSTC is a seminary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and a member of the Association of Chicago Theological Schools, allowing students to cross-register among the 12 member seminaries and drawing on a wealth of ecumenical resources. LSTC enjoys a number of cooperative arrangements with the University of Chicago.
