Shelley Appointed Interim Director of LSTC Doctor of Ministry Program

The Rev. Dr. Michael Shelley took office as Interim Director of the Doctor of Ministry and Mission and Leadership Program at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago on July 1, 2004. He has also been appointed Visiting Professor of World Religions for the 2004-05 academic year.

Shelley is a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He holds degrees from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, and the University of Birmingham, England. Shelley served in Egypt for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's Division for Global Ministries for 24 years in the areas of pastoral ministry and theological education.

   This fall, in addition to his on-campus administrative and teaching duties, he will teach two online courses on Islam this fall, offered by the Covenant Cluster seminaries of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (LSTC, Trinity Lutheran Seminary and Wartburg Theological Seminary.)
