Advent Lessons and Carols at Lutheran School of Theology December 3

Prepare for the Holy Season in song with the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago Community with a celebration of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m.

Daniel Schwandt, LSTC Staff Musician, will lead the LSTC chapel singers, and instrumentalists at the Augustana Chapel at LSTC, 1100 East 55th Street.

This annual event of readings, anthems, and hymns will feature familiar songs of the season from around the world and songs found in the new ELCA worship resource Evangelical Lutheran Worship. All are welcome. A freewill offering will be collected.

The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago forms visionary leaders to bear witness to the good news of Jesus Christ. Its approximately 290 students come from all parts of the United States and from around the world to study in the masters level and advanced studies programs. Graduates become pastors, other church leaders, and university and seminary professors. LSTC is a seminary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and a member of the Association of Chicago Theological Schools, allowing students to cross-register among the 12 member seminaries and drawing on a wealth of ecumenical resources.
