Currents in Theology and Mission
Currents is published by the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, in cooperation with Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and Wartburg Theological Seminary.
Editors from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago are Kathleen D. (Kadi) Billman, Professor of Pastoral Theology; Kurt K. Hendel, Bernard, Fischer, Westberg Distinguished Ministry Professor of Reformation History and director of the Master of Arts Programs; and Mark Swanson, Harold S. Vogelaar Professor of Christian-Muslim Studies and Interfaith Relations, Associate Director of A Center of Christian-Muslim Engagement for Peace and Justice. Norma Cook Everist represents Wartburg Theological Seminary as Associate Editor. Ann Rezny is Assistant Editor. Becky Sorensen is the Circulation Manager. (currents@lstc.edu)
Currents appears six times a year, in eighty-page issues that contain six or seven essays, book reviews, and exegetical and homiletical resources for every Sunday and major festival in the church year. The latter section is entitled “Preaching Helps” and is edited by Craig A. Satterlee, Carlson Professor of Homiletics at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.
Currents aims to provide resources for mission, ministry, and theological growth for pastors, diaconal ministers, associates in ministry, and other church leaders.
