Why I love LSTC
I love LSTC because it has faithfully and creatively trained persons for theological education and pastoral ministry. It has taken the best of the five predecessor seminaries and balanced their mission into a dynamic laboratory of cutting edge theology and ministry. The faculty has always been open and willing to be available to the students while challenging them to excel in their pursuit of theological education and ordained ministry. There is a vital spirit of community fostered by faculty, administration, and students. Read the rest of the story.

Equipping the Saints Campaign Progress through March 2008
LSTC's most important accomplishments happen after graduation, when leaders - equipped to engage a changing world - take up their ministries. Think of the seminary as a factory: everything we do has as its end result the formation of leaders for the church. Classes, internship, Greek, papers, JKM, meetings, boards, maintenance, refectory, finances, fundraising - all for the ultimate goal of preparing women and men for ministry. Students are what Equipping the Saints for Ministry is all about.
The campaign was specifically designed to provide funds for the core necessities of LSTC: financial aid, faculty chairs, building modernization, and increased day-to-day operational costs (has your gas bill gone up too?) The LSTC Fund - endowment - has a goal of $30 million.
The Annual Fund - daily operations - has a goal of $26 million.
How are we doing?
As of March 31:
Annual Fund Cash - $15,692,219 Annual Fund Pledge $1,545,052 LSTC Fund Cash $8,307,360
LSTC Fund Pledge $6,716,935
Total Progress - $32,261,566
Your gifts, your prayers, your testimony are vital to Equipping the Saints for Ministry - thank you for your partnership with your seminary.
Michael Klinefelter Assistant Vice President for Advancement
