Give of your time
LSTC relies heavily on the generous and gifted volunteers who give of their time and talents on a regular basis. We welcome your ideas about new ways to involve volunteers -- please contact us .
Host an Event
Invite a group of alumni or interested friends to gather to discuss LSTC and its mission. Gather a group of discerning young people to meet with an admissions counselor in your home. There are many options and the Advancement Office is here to assist you.
Organize a Seminary Sunday
Invite an alum or LSTC representative to your church to preach or give a Sunday school presentation about the seminary. Collect an offering for LSTC or decide to sponsor a student.
Pray for LSTC
LSTC is a spiritual community which acknowledges the power and importance of prayer. Please consider including the seminary, its students, faculty, and staff in your personal and congregational prayers.
Volunteer to be a leader
The seminary maintains three boards that provide oversight of the institution and its programs.
The Board of Directors is the seminary’s governing board and is made up primarily of representatives from the seminary’s 18 supporting synods.
The Foundation Board of Trustees serves as the seminary’s investment committee, advises the seminary’s president on a wide-range of issues and provides leadership to the seminary’s fundraising efforts.
The Alumni Board also advises the seminary’s president on issues ranging from strategic planning to student recruitment and provides fundraising leadership.
