Seminary Sampler

Seminary Sampler is a three-day event designed for those who really want to immerse themselves in what it means to be a seminarian in Hyde Park. At Seminary Sampler, you will:

  • Explore and discern your call
  • Learn about the different degree programs offered at LSTC
  • Visit classes and meet faculty and current students
  • Explore Chicago and the Hyde Park neighborhood
  • Learn about different financial aid options
  • Meet other prospective students
  • Enjoy complimentary housing and meals and more!

Event Details and Registration

Please register online.

Seminary Sampler begins at 3:00 pm on Sunday afternoon and ends at 1:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon. LSTC will coordinate transportation for you to and from the airport or bus/train station. If you are flying, we recommend using Midway rather than O’Hare, as it is much closer to LSTC. Housing and meals during the event are provided, travel stipends are available. Spouses and partners are invited to attend.

Seminary Sampler Night

Seminary Sample Night is designed primarily for commuters and local prospective students, although all are welcome. At Seminary Sampler Night, you will:

  • Explore your call and learn about our diverse academic programs
  • Discover how to thrive as a part-time/commuter student
  • Sit in on a class and share a meal with faculty, staff and students
  • Tour campus and housing options
  • Discuss candidacy, financial aid and community life

Seminary Sampler Night begins at 4:30 pm and ends by 8:30 pm. LSTC will coordinate transportation for you to and from the airport or bus/train station. A meal is provided during the event, housing is available. Spouses and partners are invited to attend. Childcare is available.
