On Thursday, November 6, from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m., Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago Theological Seminary, and University of Chicago Divinity School students will host an interfaith forum to bring attention to recent violence suffered by Christians in South India. "Peace for India: Promoting Religious Tolerance" will be held in the Common Room at McCormick Theological Seminary, 5460 S. University, Chicago. It is free and open to the public.
A presentation will be made describing the situation in South India followed by reactions from panelists and questions from the audience. Panelists will include Swami Varadananda, Vivekanada Society, Chicago; Mr. Rasheed Ahmed, national president, Indian-Muslim Council; Mr. Jose Anthony. Regional vice president, The Federation of Indian American Christian Organizations of North America; and Professor Z.C. Devadanam, former member of the National United Christian Forum - India.
