Terry Baeder is a pastor in the ELCA, with advanced degrees in pastoral counseling. He has served as a parish pastor in a variety of congregational settings.

He has also served as a hospital chaplain and a chaplain in the federal bureau of prisons, as a pastoral counselor for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, as the director of a regional social service office (LSSI), the Executive Director of Pastoral Care (LSSI), and Interim Vice-President of Program Services (LSSI). He has extensive training in multiple staff team development, conflict resolution and crisis management.
